Floating

If you have been surfing the web you may be intrigued and confused. You have probably seen a multitude of different kinds of float tanks. Everything from expansive rooms, giant eggs that remind you of Mork from Ork, to space pods with hydraulic doors. You may have seen pictures of strange looking home made tanks to sleek and modern ones in float centers.

Our goal is to erase your confusion, answer all of your questions, and address all of your concerns so that you can have the best first float possible.

Here at Soothing Solutions we have a Samadhi Tank.

MEET OUR FLOAT TANK

It’s one of the roomiest tanks made. For most people, once they enter the tank and see how spacious it is and how they can sit up and move around, their concern about being claustrophobic quickly disappears along with the rest of the rat race. Also gone is any concern about there being a weight or size limit for people using the tank. With some of the pod tanks, that can be a real issue.

Normally, when you open the door to the tank you only see reflections on the water. This can make it difficult to get an idea of exactly what it is like inside the tank. Our best attempt at photographing the environment without professional cameras and lighting did little more than emphasis reflections off the water. We know some people can be a little nervous about climbing into a dark tank so we surfed the internet to collect a few photos of the inside of Samadhi tanks just like ours. The following photos will allow you to view the tank exactly as you would see it in the light. Now, I don’t mean to break any copy write rules or anything, so if anyone out there is the owner of any of these photos and you would like me to give you credit or remove them, just let me know.

BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO FLOATING or PRICES

When planning to schedule your float appointment please keep in mind to add a minimum of one half hour to accommodate before and after showers. A typical one hour float will require one and a half hours.

If this is your first float, a thirty minute orientation is included. Along with the showers, this will increase your initial appointment time to a full two hours.

We have one tank. If two people want to come together, please schedule back to back appointments. We offer you the use of our "Garden Room” free of charge while you wait for each other. There you can experience the Vibro-acoustic Music Mat. While laying upon the mat your body will feel the frequencies of the relaxing music being played. Back to back appointments for two people will equal three hours. If this is the first visit for both of you, remember to add a half hour for the orientation which will total three and a half hours for your initial visit.
